Pimlico Puffins is a very social-able club and each year we organise a summer outing for our swimmers, their carers / family and our volunteers.
We look to vary the types of trip each year with venues including London Wetlands Centre, Greenwich Park, Kenwood House and even the London 2012 Paralympic Games!
2013 – Greenwich Park
In 2013, on a gorgeous hot day in July, we went on a boat trip from Westminster to Greenwich Park for a summer picnic, followed by a visit to the Maritime Museum where the day finished with teas and cakes.
2012 – London Paralympic Games
In 2012, we took our helpers, swimmers and their carers to the Paralympic swimming event. The roar for Team GB, specially in the relay, was amazing!
2011 – Kenwood House
In 2011, we had a lovely British summer day in Kenwood House, a former stately home on the northern boundary of Hampstead Heath, that is managed by the English Heritage.
