Queen Mother Sports Centre
Queen Mother Sports Centre can be found at the heart of central London, just a short distance from the Victoria Station. The address is 223 Vauxhall Bridge, Pimlico, London SW1V 1EL.
The club swims there every week (excluding bank holidays) on a Monday from 20:00 – 21:00.
Disabled access
The sports centre is equipped for those with access needs. There is a lift and ramp up to the reception area and a lift down to the changing rooms and the pool.
Changing rooms
There are several changing rooms that swimmers and volunteers can use. The communal female and male changing rooms have lockers, benches and shower facilities. You will need a padlock for the lockers if you wish to use them, bring your own or you can purchase from reception.
In addition we have access to a disabled changing room, which is equipped with a bench, electric hoist and disabled toilet. Please bring your own sling, if you will need to use the hoist.
Swimming pools
The pools are closed to the public during our Puffins sessions so swimmers and volunteers can enjoy the pool in private.
We have use of the main pool where swimmers requiring assistance getting into the water can use the hoist to enter the main pool safely and comfortably. There is also space for swimmers to swim lengths in this pool also.
Also available to our swimmers is the leisure pool for those who are new to swimming or who prefer the warmer temperature of the water and pressure to help with their hydrotheraphy exercises.
